I have some friends who have been discussing the possible reasons why their blogging has slowed way down. So I have been thinking about that for myself. Some reasons:
1. I feel less comfortable sharing my thoughts publicly.
I am not sure why this is. I have several times thought about protected posts or something like that. I guess I don't know who is reading and I feel more and more that as my circles expand I may say something that affects my relationships with people I come into contact with. It was far easier to blog in the day that my blog was read mostly by people I didn't know face-to-face.
2. My stage of life is transitional right now.
I am figuring out what my "stay-at-home" mom career is going to morph into now that the kids are in school full-time. I feel kind of silly writing about my life on here - like people will judge - but I think it is my own insecurities. I really should write a post on this topic.
3. It is easier to throw one sentence onto Facebook than write a whole post
I am sure there are more, but that's what I have right now. I would like to blog more, but need to figure out these issues.

I know the postings in the mom's group I'm a part of has slowed down over the years. I say it definitely has to do with Facebook! I try to keep up with blogging mainly because I look at it as a journal for our girls in the future. :-) And, I too, wouldn't want many of my thoughts shared publicly, that's why I keep the posts private for only close family and friends.
I know what you mean about the blogging thing. Facebook is definitely quick and easy but there's something about the blog entries. Hope you stick around :)
Good luck with the big decisions you have to make...
You know I love hearing about your life--whatever you have to say! Of course, I find it so funny that I started blogging because of you, and how much I enjoyed reading your blog. I thought it might be a nice way to stay connected and share life with you and my mom and sisters, since we all live so far apart. And now I don't see how I went without blogging before. ; ) My favorite part of reading blogs is the stories--and those you just can't tell on facebook in the same way. So, this is my plug for you blogging. . . but feeling no pressure to do it a certain way. Go private if you want--just invite me to read! ; ) You have at least one devoted reader FOREVER.
I am one of those people who read your post dear and you don't know me, I am not even in the US but I found you several years ago because of dear sweet Nathan (I lost a baby girl called penny a few years ago to a rare ugly sickness, that's why I was searching the net and found your sweet Nathan's page) and caring bridge, I love you and your posts and the beautiful beautiful pics of your princesses, they gave me hope and you in a way were my guardian angel, your strength, your love for your girls, I was totally lost but I tried to be strong, I remembered you and I knew I was not alone, you are in a way a big part of my heart,,,, I am now a mom of a 3 month old baby girl myself (her name is Lauren, I named her after your beautiful beautiful Lauren, I'll send her pics to you if you ever want too) I don't blog myself but I would love to open one because of my lauren, but I check out your blog and even your pics every week like your my own family, I feel I know you because I cried when I read Nathan passed and I laugh with each smile on the beautiful faces of julia and lauren. I love you, my name is Sara, I am 31, we do not live in the US and we are not english speakers but no matter what we love you (I was kinda depressed when I lost the ability to view your pics in a bigger size because I am not part of the circle of your google plus maybe, :(( but I wanted to let you know that I'm probably one of your oldest readers and followers that love you and your family so much.
